GOOD NEWS

Out of 900 applicants I’ve been picked to be an Avon Addict.  It not the make-up and perfume company, but the book publisher.

Each month I’ll get books to review and swag.

DARK HUNGER

This is the latest installment in her Dark series.

Riordan our hunky hero is trapped inside a volcano with a very  old and wicked vampire.  They have been there for 500 years.

Juliette our beautiful and gutsy heroine has an affinity with the volcano that goes back generations.  She doesn’t understand why she has to get to the top of the volcano before it erupts but is determined to get there.

The first half of the book is intense, dark and brooding. The second half is action, adventure and romance.

We do get some answers to the ongoing Carpathian problems.

If you are a fan of these books I recommend you read this one.  If you are new to the series read them in order or you will get confused.

I give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

IS THERE AN OYSTER SHORTAGE?

Grocery shopping is not one of my favorite activities. However, it must be done.

On Saturday Brent and I went to the local Wal-Mart. We got to the soup section and they were out of Oyster Stew. I said, “No problem. I’ll get it at Ingle’s.”
Fast forward to today. Ingle’s had two cans; of which I’m not the proud owner.

So, either Campbell’s isn’t producing enough Oyster Stew or there is an oyster shortage.

I don’t think that many people in my little community eat Campbell’s Oyster Stew to have created this shortage. After all we live in the mountains of east TN.

So, let me know how your local stores are doing on stocking oyster stew.

Who Am I?

When my boys were little I was a stay at home mom.

Then when they were a little older the press dubbed me a soccer mom. Neither of my boys played soccer.

For about 10 years I was the mother of teenagers. Those who have been there need no explanation to the craziness teenagers can add to your life.

Then off and on one or another pursued higher education.

As of next Monday I will no longer be the mom of a student.

I’m too young to be retired. Even though I’m handicapped it isn’t the appellation I want to go by.

Since so much of my life has been defined by my boys I think it only fair that for the rest of my life their offspring give me the best name of all.
